Waste Management Environmental Goals and Resources

Over 40% of respondents to the Princeton EAC Fall 2017 Survey placed trash and recycling second on their list of environmental priorities. The following overall goals were identified by the Environmental Action Committee and are detailed in the Environmental Action Plan.

• Reduce waste generated in Town buildings, private residences, and businesses
• Reduce negative impacts of multiple waste haulers on Town infrastructure and environment
• Increase overall rates of reuse and recycling
• Support efforts to reduce the waste stream, including by limiting single-use plastics and rescuing food waste
• Expand opportunities for Town, residents, and businesses to dispose of waste
