Application and Appointment

• March 7, 2025: Deadline to submit applications to Town Administrator (TA)
• April 7 – May 3, 2025: Interviews conducted
• May 30, 2025: Participants appointed by TA

Work

• July 1, 2025: First possible day of work
• June 30, 2026: Last possible day of work for participants

Town’s Processing of Tax Abatement

• July 31, 2026: Deadline for Department Heads to submit all paperwork to TA
• August 15, 2026: TA forwards paperwork to Board of Assessors (BOA)
• Late September/Early October, 2026: BOA approves paperwork
• Late October 2026: BOA processes abatements and submits to Tax Collector / Treasurer
• December 2026 /January 2027: Participants will receive written notification of completion of
  program, including a copy of the calculation of the abatement to be applied
