The Town of Princeton, acting through its Public Safety Building Committee, is soliciting proposals from project management firms to act as Owner’s Project Manager (OPM) for the Design and Construction of a New Public Safety Building. The Project and this OPM engagement are subject to award by the Princeton Selectboard (the Awarding Authority). Funding is available for the project through the design and bidding phases. The funding on hand is not sufficient for award of a construction project, and appropriation of funds would be required at a future Town Meeting, contingent on passage of a debt exclusion ballot question. The fee for OPM services through the design and bidding phases will be subject to negotiations after award. A fee proposal is required to be sent by sealed envelope to the Town Administrator once there has been notification of selection as a finalist. The fee shall be expressed as a lump sum not to exceed amount, including the costs of all sub-consultants and reimbursable expenses. The Town anticipates negotiating a fee for the balance of services through completion of the project to be in the range of 3.0% – 4.0% of the total construction cost. The Town reserves the right to select the firm it determines is most qualified based on the information submitted, to waive any formality, and to choose a consultant determined to be able to perform in the best interests of the Town. The Town may, at its discretion, continue with the applicant as the Owner’s Project Manager of Record in the construction and close out phase of the Project for selected recommendations in accordance with MGL Chapter 7C, § 51(h) and subsequently provide Bidding Assistance and Construction Administrative Services to the construction project. A mandatory project information session will be held on Wednesday, May 14th at 11:00 AM at the Town Hall Annex 4 Town Hall Drive, Princeton, MA 01541. Questions regarding this RFQ must be submitted in writing by May 21, 2025 at 4:00 PM. RFQ submissions are due before 11;00 AM on Wednesday May, 28, 2025.
