Visit the Massachusetts Department of Revenue Protect Yourself Against Tax Identify Theft webpage on protecting yourself against tax identity fraud.

If you believe theft or fraud has occurred

  • Visit the Federal Trade Commission's Identify Theft webpage to report identity theft and get a recovery plan
  • If you suspect the theft happened in Princeton (not online or out of town), contact the Princeton Police Department to file a report
  • While in most cases we do not have jurisdiction to investigate identity fraud directly, we are here to help guide you through the process
