Administrative: Minutes

Ann failed to distribute the minutes from 1/8, so review is postponed until next meeting.

Budget

Members reviewed the budget (see attached) and voted to approve:

Richy: Motion to approve the budget for submission to the Treasurer.

Deb: Second.

Vote: unanimous aye

Leadership

Deb: Motion to nominate Richy as Vice Chair.

Barbara: Second

Vote: unanimous aye

Discussions: ADU Workshop

General discussion of date, time, location content, makeup of panel and ways to generate interest/awareness.

Location: anticipating more than the ~20 who attended the ADU presentation at the Sr./Community Center, the preferred location is Thomas Prince School.

Date/Time: To increase turnout, midweek evening after the May ATM (where PHIC can advertise the workshop). Preferred dates are May 20 or 21.

Share content: The website must be updated with an ADU quick guide, and the new boarder bylaw. Example: Worcester Planning’s ADU Quick Guide

TO DO: Ann: remove owner occupancy requirement from PHIC page. (if possible) Print out web page so all can review and comment for an update/overhaul.

Deb: reach out to Sherry Patch re: using Thomas Prince School.

Panel Members: General discussion of members of panel. Current list:

  •  EOHLC technical assistance pro
  •  Board of Health rep
  •  1-2 builders with ADU experience
  •  1-2 Princeton residents who have built ADUs
  •  Planning Board rep
  •  CMRPC rep

Promotion/Advertising: Princeton has new boarder and short-term rental bylaws. PHIC will promote the new bylaws on Next Door, 2 Facebook groups, PHIC web page, and senior newsletter; all of which are free. The same outlets will be used to promote the ADU workshop.
