Those in Attendence: Corry Root, Lesley Mozola, Carla Volturo, Michelle Kennedy, Bonnie Hirsh, Jennifer Vuona, Joya Mutti
o Welcomed members and attendees
o Reviewed FY25 guidelines and priorities: Online applications require; Direct Grant Approved; Required to have a local venue; All applicants must have a local sponsor and local venue;Must submit brochures and flyers; Credit must be given to the MCC and PCC; If applicant leaves role they must designate a designee for grant.
o Reviewed FY25 budget:
• $5,700 allocation
• $463.54 carrying over
• $250 set aside: -Voted all in favor to allocate towards an awards event for the grant recipients.
• $5,913 to award to grant recipients.
o Publicity: Voted all in favor of having a more formal publicity plan for the next grant cycle.
o Reviewed and voted on FY25 submissions.
• Johnny Appleseed Visitor Center Cultural Components – $1000 – Voted all in favor to reject this proposal.
• Music at the Holden Farmer’s Market – $180 – Voted all in favor to reject.
• “West African Drumming Workshop – Come Out to Play” – $300 – Voted all in favor to approve this proposal for the full amount.
• HAY Day Musical Performances – $1600 – Voted all in favor to reject this proposal. • “You are here” – $1335 – Voted all in favor to reject this proposal.
• Music Series – $1500 – Voted all in favor to approve this proposal for the amount of $1363.
• Watercolors with Charles Gray – $600 – Voted all in favor to approve
• Our Time in Princeton – $700 – Voted all in favor to reject this proposal.
• Robert Rivest – $400 – Voted all in favor to approve this proposal for the full amount.
• School Library World Geography Collection Update – $550 – Voted all in favor to approve this proposal for the full amount.
• Improv Theater Classes – $1500 – Voted all in favor to approve this proposal for the full amount.
• Wachusett Community Band Concert – $700 – Voted all in favor to approve this proposal for the full amount.
• After School Acting for Elementary at TPS – $1800 – Voted all in favor to reject this proposal.
• The Theft of Dignity: Princeton, Free Public Presentation – $680 – Voted all in favor to reject this proposal.
• Worcester Chamber Music Society Free Tickets for Town Residents 20th • Anniversary Baroque Holiday Celebration – $1,000 – Voted all in favor to approve this proposal for an amount of $500.
• Worcester Writers’ Collective Writing Events – $250 – Voted all in favor to reject this proposal.
Discussed and voted on new members: Geoerey Yaglou has not responded to emails or attended any meetings. Voted all in favor of removing his membership. Voted all in favor of new associate member Deb Simeone.
