The minutes for the 5/14/25 meeting were approved.

Small Farm Shared Experiences May 28, 2025

The Commission discussed the program. The location was fine, but there was general agreement that future programs should have an agenda or topic(s), with a Commission member ready to jump-start the discussion

Programs for 2025

Hey Day. This is scheduled for Saturday October 4, 11 am to 4 pm, with Sunday October 5 as rain date. We need volunteers for the Ag Comm booth.

Herding Dog Demonstration. Commission thought this could be a good program. Lisa will follow up.

Bee Keeping. Eddie will work with Worcester County Beekeeping Association to set this up for the fall.

USDA/MDAR/NRCS Grants Presentation. The target date is in January 2026.

Farm Day. This will be on May 9, 2026.

Social Gathering.

Dylan offered the Stimson Farm as the site for a social gathering on July 17. There was enthusiastic support!

Friends of Princeton Ag Comm.

Eddie reminded everyone that Marissa is compiling a list. We need sign-in sheets at programs to collect names and email addresses,

Ideas for Programs

Dog Herding (probably a weekend program)

Composting (part of small farm experiences?)

Foraging (probably a weekend program)

Horses (possibly two part – Wednesday evening and the on-site?)
