Meeting FAQs

Unless a meeting is posted as an Executive Session, all board and committee meetings are open to the public.

Some Boards and Committees record their meetings. It is not required and is not a substitute for minutes. Recordings are stored on GoToMeeting and expire per GoToMeeting’s policy. Currently they expire after a year.

In general, boards and committees allow some public participation. Some will have an explicit public comment period on their agenda. Others don’t but may allow participation. If you aren’t sure, raise your hand and ask the Chair if comments or questions are allowed.

In general, minutes are reviewed and approved at the next regularly scheduled meeting of a committee. However, per the Open Meeting Law, if you request the minutes of a meeting from the Chair, they should be provided to you within 10 days, even if in draft form.
