The Commission serves as facilitators for the pursuit of agriculture in Princeton, promotes agricultural-based economic opportunities in town and pursues all initiatives appropriate to creating a sustainable agricultural community. The Commission acts as mediators, advocates and educators on farming issues.
Note two sections of the Town's By-Laws pertain to agriculture:

- Residential - Agricultural District (see Section III of Zoning By-Laws)
